On my way to being smoke free!
Well, I am on the road to quit smoking for good this time. I tried quitting on the patch, and was successful for 3 months. Tried Champix last year and did great on that for 2 months until the nausea was way too much to handle. Now, a year later, I'm on Champix again. It's only been 2 days, but I have already noticed that I'm not going outside for a smoke right after I eat or as soon as I have that first coffee in the morning. I have also noticed that when I do have a smoke, it really doesn't taste that great, and man do I stink! I am confident that this time I will concur this gross habit. I am tired of waking up coughing and tired of smelling like an ashtray. If anyone has any advice on how to get through the cravings or the nausea of the pills please let me know.
Thanks:)

What worked for me was exercise from day one. 7 months later not one smoke and ran 8km this morning and feel awesome. I would strongly recommend incorporating exercise into your daily routine. Good luck and stay strong.

Hi Solo,
I agree. I am tired of the coughing, and not being able to even go for a walk without being out of breathe. My husband says I cough in my sleep now. This is day 5 of being on the pills and I only had 3 and a half smokes yesterday. I noticed when I went to bed that I didn't even cough once. When I got up this morning, I only coughed once:) Haven't had a smoke yet, so here's hoping I don't have any today.
I do have a question though to everyone, I am going out Saturday night and the ppl that I am going out with smoke. We will be having a couple of drinks too around the fire. How do get through having a couple of drinks without that smoke??
