Didnt want to stop
I really didnt want to stop. I was a dedicated smoker. Then champix....the script sat in my bag for two weeks. Then I had it filled and started the first pack. I was so scared I wouldnt be me If I Quit Smoking. Ive been a non smoker fror 12 days... and my world has not caved in. I actually feel like ive done something really special for myself. Four weeks down the track sometimes I feel a bit queasy and my nose runs a bit I also have these wacky dreams but nothing really bad. Im so glad I had that script filled it is so worth it
I have technicolour dreams on patches. I have cut down to as much as one a day. I am using a combination of NRT. I am feeling much better.
I felt the same way, didn't want to quit but felt I had too, seemed like everything I did would leave me breathless.
Every time I imagined myself doing something I had a cigarette in my hand, how could I enjoy myself without 'em? It was about a week into taking Champix that I noticed the cigarette tasted like crap, and was doing nothing for me, it was all about the nicotine, and having it blocked by the Champix unveiled what gross little things they really are. I still have those little subconscious prods, like if I'm going to jump in the car (smoke), grab a beer (smoke). I never noticed it before, I find it funny now. I'm proud of myself, you should be proud of yourself too. Cheers.
thankyou Bartman I feel the same way too. its been 15 days now and I feel pretty good. I have found though that when I smell cigarette smoke my nose runs like a tap and I get a nose ache like I have sinus has this happened to you?
I don't have a response like that, put I find I can smell it from a mile away. I live in Canada and the weather has just started to warm up, I got into my car after it had been sitting in the sun all day and I could barely breathe it smelled so bad inside. I've been driving around with the windows open and have air fresheners in the vents, just a matter of time I guess. Cheers.
