I lost my Sister who I was very close to in late January, she was diagnosed with terminal cancer 3 months earlier but had no symptoms. She died from a massive stroke, she was 56. I hope she, along with you guys can help me quit. The biggest fear for me is gaining weight. That's the reason I took it back up, I gained a heap of weight after quitting and didn't lose it.

If you have tips on that, I would love to hear them. I am off to see my Doctor tomorrow to get Champix, again. It worked last time, but I have to keep the weight off.

I am inspired by some of your stories and hope I can be as strong as you. I must admit I am a little scared at making the decision.

All the best. Rod 😉

schedule 25 Mar 2014

Dear Rod, I take weight gaining medications. I am over weight due to fizzy drinks. I weigh 5 kilos less if I exercise five times a week. At the moment I am exercising two or three times a week. I live with my Husband and I both cook. We make salads or vegetarian dishes with ten vegetables sometimes. We use a lot of garlic, herbs, lemon juice. We grow as much as we can so it is poison free. We do eat a small amount of meat and fish. We eat rice, couscous, noodles, porridge, crackers, cereal. I drink a lot of water. I am okay about my size control, as a friend is unable to have lap ban. She measures two metres round. I am only 10 kilos overweight. But it's all in a big pot belly. I am out of shape because the digestive juices are chemically different. They also make me hungry by being so active. I use lozenges so as to always have something in my mouth.
