Champix

Posted in Getting started
schedule 24 Feb 2014

Today is day 5 on CHAMPIX and im starting to wonder if it's going to have any effect on me,even although i am extemley tired and have dry mouth, these are symptoms im willing to suffer through to get the end result.

I have done a lot of research and had many failed attempts at quitting this disgusting habit and i landed on this site which i feel i need to track my progress and see others stories/ experiences.

I feel ready to quit but feel as though my willpower is weak, having said that i am aware that i need to cut down and because i have triggers all around me i am constantly thinking of this.

I am going to post my progress here so i feel like im answering to somebod..

good luck to me.

Good luck angelarms. I am taking champix too. I quit on day 12 and am currently 2 days smoke free. It's working for me so far because I am determined, I know my triggers and I cut down a fair bit before quit day. You can do it too, you just have to make sure your will iw stronger than your doubts.

Thanks for the comment and a massive hats off to you on your achievement. Determination is a powerful key and i realised this recently after i spent a lot of time reading other quitters journeys.

Keep strong Reekay .

Patience. Water is very important. You can also get mouthwash for dry mouths. Suck on ice. Have chewys. Buy crisp, juicy fruit. Try Soda Water as it will not make you gain weight. If you feel an urgency for action, stay calm and wait. There is plenty to do towards you quitting. Like taking special care of yourself in this time of need. You are doing something very challenging. Just do one day at a time. Take it easy on yourself in all other aspects. I wish you all the very best in your future because that is what your grappling with and your doing well
