- week 1.. Officially day 3.
week 1.. Officially day 3.

Im 28 years old and have smoked for around 12 years, in that time i quit once at age 17, for about 6 months. Ive never really been a heavy smoker, generally about 10 per day. So recently i was sick with bronchitis so smoking was drastically cut for me due to feeling like a train hit me, i literally could not light up without having an epic coughing fit. One afternoon about 3 days into my sickness, i picked up my packet of cigs and just instantly felt sick to my stomach, put them back down and decided to wait a little while, came back about an hour later, lit up and felt like i wanted to vomit. Since then i have tried to smoke once more, with the same results, friends are telling me the connection between the two is all in my head but if thats what it takes to quit, then i shall roll with it. I am now currently over my illness, and am 3 days into feeling good again, so although i havent really smoked in the last week, my offical quit day i set as 3 days ago as if im feeling healthy and well and still dont feel like a cig then i know its time. Wish me luck on sticking to it this time!

Very similar to me, but I haven't been sick.. Feeling sick knowing all the money I've wasted over the years!! Stay strong. I've finished day one today, be proud stay strong and don't give in.. Draw on that feeling that it makes you feel violently ill. Congrats on 3 days!

Stay strong you can do it,don't give in to them, you will feel so much better and save so much money,I am on day 93,feeling great and saved over $1000.00,I just go one day at a time,GOOD LUCK.....

Hey Synkitty, good on you for making the decision to stop. Any reason is a good one.
Good luck on your journey.
