Starting again..

Hi All,
So quite a while ago I joined this site thinking I would give up smoking. It didn't work out the way I planned...
2 days ago I went to hypnosis, the first out of the 3 that are planned. I was all good, until today. I decided to buy a packet and smoke a couple....I'm now sitting here feeling sorry for myself and that I have failed once again.
I have another hypnosis session tomorrow afternoon, here's hoping I don't go back to my old ways.

Dr.feelgood said it well... You are the only one that can decide wether to quit or not. It's a mental fight against the cravings. To help me I've chosen Champix and its perfectly working for me. Don't give up and be strong.

Good luck with your session tomorrow!
Giving up smoking is willpower, determination and committment.
There are no magic drugs, no magic patches or no magic anything. Its up to you- thats all there is to you it.
Good luck on whichever method you choose and stay strong

I agree the best way to not smoke is to not buy, them. I am using the champix and they help massively. Never tried hypnosis. Stay strong. You can do this. I never thought I would honestly, but I am smoke free. Keep posting

Thank you to the ones who have given me supportive comments. I have had a terrible 3 days, extremely emotional, anxiety etc etc.. however as my partner keeps on saying, I can' beat myself up over having slip ups...I have gone from a 15 per day smoker to 3-4 per day which is generally only half each time.
I'm about to leave for my next hypnosis session, I hope it will help me cut down the these 3-4 that I am having, as I do believe it has helped to cut down from the 15 I was having.
To the person who has said "I'm not ready to quit". My question to you is- When is the best time to quit? Each person I think is different to how they deal with the cravings/withdrawals and different to how they attempt to quit. Yes I may have wasted some money on these hypnosis sessions if it doesn't turn out the way I plan, but at least I have given it a go.

Hi bubz dont beat yourself up over a slip up the main thing is you want to try again i have lost count how many times i have given up the cigs never getting very far before i got a packet but this time its 26 days. You will do it because you keep trying and you would not be telling us about a slip up if you did not want to quit i wish you all the best and no more beating yourself up ok
