Day 1 tomorrow, feel confident i'll get through the day, the drive to work being my big first up trigger, as long as I don't turn off into the servo i should be fine.

schedule 2 Jun 2013

Good Luck Mr Golf - I was the same as you. I work in retail and it can be quite full on at times and I was worried about how i'd go not having a smoke as this was my few minutes "chill out" time before having to face it again but when time came, I wasn't worried about the ciggies nor thought of them, just kept myself busy and took more time to interact with my customers which was way more important than a cancer stick. If you do drive into the servo pick up some lollies and a bottle of water instead, and when your in the que paying for those much healthier less smelling objects, read the warning signs behind the counter and remember the new challenge/journey you set yourself on the day before and why. Will Power is the key pal and YOU have it :) Let us know how you go :):):)

Good luck Mr Golf, you'll be fine. I never thought in a million years i could stop. I'm now 3 weeks smoke free, and it feels like only yesterday i was posting about how nervous/worried/anxious i was about giving up. I can now leave the house without cigs, go to work without cigs, even eat dinner and not have a cig 5 secs after!!!! I also smell great!!!! Ha Ha. Relax you'll be fine. Literally just take 1 minute at a time, before you know it the day will be over. Let us know how you get on.

"You Beauty", I got through my first day smoke free, Had many moments when I wanted one but as you pointed out Kellie2185 I kept myself busy and I didn't call into the servo, just drove straight past and never looked back. I just want to thank all you guys for your support, it's a big help...Thank you.

Your welcome :) that's what we're all here for. Im so glad you didn't stop at the servo. Its just a matter of going "oh i'll have a smoke".....WAIT... I don't smoke anymore, i'm a NON SMOKER! yew! then do something different to what you normally would and bam feeling of smoking is gone. Im on Day 5 of no cigs and shifting my pattern is the hardest thing so far but its kinda like well I don't do THAT anymore, lets do something totally different, and so far its working :)
