OK Humble, how bad do you want to quit? Are you determined to work at quitting with some assistance from patches or Champix or similar, or are you expecting them to do all the work for you?

If you expect them to do all the work then forget it mate, you have to be prepared to do the hard yards with the other stuff helping you get through the rough patches.

The longer you go the easier it gets, even though it may not seem like it at first. The nicotine receptors in your brain fight dirty and will try every trick you can think of to get you to have that "Just one won't hurt" smoke. Don't be sucked in.

This advice is spoken from experience, a smoker for 53 years who has only 4 weeks to go to make it to 1 year without a single drag, you can do it too.

Ty for comments already feeling strong about quitting with your support. I am very determined to quit. I'm cutting down now then cold turkey on may 31st. I've always fallen for just one puff then regretted it. I'm a nurse so I understand about receptors lll have to fool them this time. Well done on nearly a year, you make me jealous lol.

What helped you give up?

Hi thanks for comment, How are you going on champax? Some friends of mine got nausea while on it if this happens you can get anti nausea tablets. I agree the support is great I feel I can do it this time instead of on my own. You must be so proud day 5, keep up the good work.
