schedule 1 May 2013

Hi all, I am determined to quit this time for health reasons. I have been smoking for 20 years! I normally have only around 1-2 a day but when I drink I chain smoke and I feel like crap the next day. And I drink quite a bit. I'm here for support while I go cold turkey and to ask for tips on not smoking while embibing. I'm hoping by quitting I will cut down on the alcohol as well!

schedule 2 May 2013

Hi..drinking is a real problem when trying to quit smoking. I was a heavy drinker but decided that if I was gonna quit smoking I had to quit the drink first. I stopped drinking 4 weeks before I even attempted to stop smoking..its not been easy to quit both but it has made a huge difference to my life already. Im 8 weeks off the drink and day 15 now without a smoke. I can breath like I havent done for years and feel so much healthier already. Trust me ditch the booze..giving up smoking is hard at the best of times but drinking is just gonna make it a whole lot harder on yourself...good luck.

Thanks everyone, your totally right. It's going to be really hard especially when my partner drinks a lot. But it's day two and I'm feeling positive
