Well its been 4 hours, I know that sounds like not much but I would have already had 6-7 cigs this morning, so thats a start.  My biggest fear is not being able to enjoy myself without my trusty friend the ciggie! i have used the Nicorette spray once this morning and have stayed inside away from ashtrays and smokes, "my husband smokes". Anyway good luck to everyone, will update on my progress!

Hello Elisa65... I'm on my 3rd day smoke free and I'm ok so far... the first hours you feel kinda lonely lol (I took a big nap on that big day lol) and then starting the 2nd day it became easier for me...

Well done!!! Tip: me i just remember the ugly smell of cold tobacco on my hands, hair, clothes... i drink a lot of water... do some breathing exercises (inhale from nose/exhale from mouth during 5 sec each) and all this works with me :))))

Keep going and do not hesitate to come to this website... it indeed helps me a lot!!!!

Hey Elisa, well done!!!! you can do this, the first day is the hardest , but you will get through it, make sure and eat well , sip water slowly, and breathe slowly when you get a craving , that helps me, make sure you get an early night too. All the best and well done again stay strong , keep posting here too.... good luck..

Hi Elisa, I hope you are still going strong. i'm on day 1 and have avoided going outside even though I threw out all ashtrays. It mad it easier my partner quit one week ago. Maybe ask your husband if he could smoke somewhere else. Maybe behind the shed.LOL He wont like doing it and maybe it will spur him on to quit as well and then you can really be there to support each other. Good luck

Thanks everyone, day three and feeling very confident! Luckily I have a good group of people around me that are non smokers and are encouraging me along. Not so good that my husband is still smoking, but I cant wait for him anymore, this time it is it!! I already feel like I am free to go out and do what I want without being dragged down by needing a smoke. Good Luck to everyone!!
