Hi all on this pot holed track of giving up ciggies.this will attempt number 3 for me,as this is my 1st post, i had blessings in disguise when i got hospitalised twice last year with pneuamonia. the first time i stayed off the cigs for nearly 3 weeks but kept doing everything else normally-not understanding the need to change.the 2nd time i just had the worst week stress wise on discharge,plenty of smokers around me to hand me one when i got peaky. once again im just going to use the inhaler,coz ive got 4 kids and i think they wanna live haha. i dont want to get too cranky!!

Hi Karina

Don't know much about the inhaler but maybe for your anger you may need to try something with the inhaler. What about some herbal medicines? You could go to a herbalist to find out what you could take. On many of my attempts to quit, I used a mixture and it was amazing how calm you felt. I am on patches now and find that I am not cranky with these but I guess our bodies are all different.

hi folks thanks 4 the input. i never thought about the chinese medicine i will follow that up so cheers for that.the 2nd time i went into hospital they put me on champix on discharge? i hadnt smoked for 6 days by then and lets just say it didnt agree with me.the Dr has been great but i need strategies at the moment more than NRT.cheers
