Saving money

I have been smoking for the last six years. I previosly quit smoking 25 years ago and silly me took it up again when I met my partner who smoked. We have both tried to quit so many times. This time I want to be successful. As, luckily, I don't seem to suffer from any health problems- yet; my main reason is to quit smoking is to save money. I hate knowing that in the last six years it has cost my partner and I over $65,000- an astronomical amount that could been spent much more wisely. For me, quitting smoking means paying off my visa and home loan, and having money to do things on the house. Initially though, I intend to give myself small rewards to try to keep myself on track- any ideas would be welcome. The thing I dread the most is the irritability I know I will feel for the first few weeks, and with two of quitting together that means double irritability, but hopefully also support.
