Quitting again

This is just a quick message to say hi to everyone, this is my 2nd attempt, and hoping to beat it this time. I'll read through everyones tips as soon as i get the chance...
Good luck Bazinga and don't let it get to you. We are all here to help one another.

Hey Bazinga I think you really need to want to quit and determine why.
I had been talking about quitting for about 2 years, but really didn't have the strong desire to take action. My son's 4th birthday was approaching and I used that date as a quit date because I want to do all I can for him to be smoke free.
As soon as I convinced myself to quit it was easy. In saying that, Champix has been an incredible help. I have had no side effects almost no urge to have a cigarette.
I have been smoke free for almost a month.
Good luck my friend.

hi again, late replies, my internet went down. Desire is defo important. I decided to go out and get patches cause that's how I stopped a few years back. I picked a rather stressful time to quit, 2 kids one being a baby and the stresses of moving house but I think those stresses give me the extra boost. I was going to try Champix because a lot of friends have used it and it has worked, but unfortunately I can't run the risk of the side effects with only having one kidney. Its even harder still cause I use to like a smoke with a beer lol, its funny the first time I quit on the very first day of commencing I went to the pub with friends and never touched a smoke, but now being a home brewer its a lot harder.. Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes
