Quit date is approaching

Giving up smoking has been on my mind for a long time. I made the plan on NYE to give up in March and here, March is.
I have been mentally planning in my head and imaging myself not having cigarettes. It's a happy thought.
I don't want to be one of the 5 people in a group of 50 who smokes. I want to be one of group who feels proud of herself. I want to stand out of the crowd for something good.
So in the next few days, I will stop breathing poisonous fumes into my lungs and I will allow my body to heal.
Good for you! Just remember the key to being a non smoker is thinking that you are one.
Basically it is all in the mind, it's great that you have done some mental preparation. But you have to WANT to stop for you, not anyone or anything else, and don't feel like you are "giving up" anything because really you're not, you're gaining everything cigarettes has taken away from you.
Sorry if that blurb sounded like a huge dictation to you, but it is just something I had found out the hard way, but better late than never as i am 47 days smoke free now and feeling better than ever and a heck of a lot more free!!!! :-)
Good luck to you on your quit journey and all the best! :-)

Hey thanks AnythingsPossible. I agree. And I do want to.And yes I will gain so much, not lose anything. I will be where you are in the near future.
Thanks
