Time to stop

Time to stop and this time i really want to i have tried many times with tablets, cold turkey, patches, etc but really i never really wanted to stop just tried to see if i could but this time i do so seen the dr got a auth for the patches as this is much cheaper this way only cost $38.00 for 28 days worth over the counter is $28.00 for 7 days, my start day will be monday, i am overweight so very worried about putting on weight so my goal is also weight loss i will start walking in the evenings after dinner instead of a drink and a smoke and the morning coffee and smoke i know will be the killer but will have to wait and see. The main reason for doing this is for my health and for my children age 3 and 6 who have for a long time have wanted me to stop the first time was a couple of years ago when an ad was on tv about a person who died from smoking and left young children behind my son was crying thinking i was going to die the next day i brought a inhaler to quit and of course i didn't my husband is going to try with me as he is a heavy smoker and suffers from asthma this will be the first time he has ever tried and wanting to do it for his health and the kids too, ok this is my first step joining this site second step comes monday morning.

Well, it's Monday so hopefully you have started today....hope all goes well for you, believe me it will get easier each day and soon you wont even be thinking about a cigarette for hours and then the hours will stretch into a whole day where you dont think about it. Im on day 143 and have saved over $1,200. think of what you could do with that money thats burning away every time you light up. Good luck!
