Day is set to quit

Hi Giys,
So pleased I have found this forum. The stories on here, have already given me some heart.
Saw my doctor last Tuesday and discussed the possibilities and issues. He recommended Champix, made the phone call and wrote the script.
Start day for the first Champix is December 27th and for my first fully free cig day, I have set the 5th January.
Am I being too optimistic with the second day, or is it a case of, what works best for me.
Cheers
grandorient.

I started Champix 7 weeks ago, & was able to cut the number of cigarettes smoked per day in half immediately - & had stopped by Day 4 of taking Champix Your plan is very generous & you might find (like me) that you just don't need or want to smoke, much earlier than in the directions.
To avoid the nausea that some people report, always take Champix with meals & a glass of water. The only time I've felt queasy is not following these guidelines. The brain fog that I reported early on seems to have lifted (or I've got used to it LOL)& it's so wonderful to be able to breath.
Good luck.
