I'm on my second day of being a non smoker and it's really, really hard. I have smoked for over 30 years (even typing that makes me feel sick) and I just decided that enough is enough. I gave up on my youngest daughters' birthday, which was Sunday. I'm on Champix and I think it's helped me, although my determination is getting me through as well. I have only thought about a smoke every 5 minutes, which is better than yesterday when it was every 2 minutes! I will not smoke again, it stinks, it's expensvie, it harms my body everytime I inhale all those toxins. No more.

Great attitude Caz2

Mummymads when you get a craving, try not to dwell on it , think about how much you are saving or find something to do to occupy your mind and your hands. Will yourself not to give in. I wish you success.

Thanks so much for your help and support - I'm really doing better than I thought...I coped with a Monday at work with some rude customers and didn't reach for a smoke! My girls are proud of me and so am I. Thanks again for your comments, it really helps knowing so many others have been where I am and that it does get better. Well done Caz2 - keep it up!
