Gearing For Change

I've decided to give kicking the smokes for good another go (i think this is attempt 6 or 7.... lost count) I did manage to give them up cold turkey for 6 weeks with minimal/no cravings whatsoever, but started up again when i was hanging around people who smoked a lot of the time.
I have been a heavy smoker for almost 10 years now and I am finding i am not as fit as I use to be. I have a son that I struggle to run around and kick the footy with. I am also finding it harder and harder to recover from even the smallest cold or flu. I do lead a very busy lifestyle and would like to get back some of the fitness I use to have. I am also getting sick of stretching the budget to account for items i am basically just setting fire to.... smokes are pretty much burning $20 notes :(

Cheers heaps :) Nothing to lose and lots to gain. And once I've been off them for a while I will take your advice and see a doc... hopefully nothing permanent :)
