Well i didnt give up when i was suppose to and i am very disappointed in myself the problem with me is that im a closet smoker i dont smoke at work i dont smoke in front of my kids mainly smoke when they are at school . Nobody nows except my partner that i smoke  . I only smoke at home or go for a drive around town to have a smoke when i cant have one at home using petrol,   lots of chewy and perfume to keep the smell away it really is hard work so why didnt i stop . I only lasted one day and my day was less stressful because i didnt have to worry about trying to have a smoke or making excuses to go down townso i could have a one.

Harley are you giving up for you or for those around you - it seems that you are saying "I want to smoke but I don't want anybody to know I'm a smoker". If you do want to stop try substituting that cigarette with an ice block (the ones in plastic tubes) I buy at IGA pack of 24 @ $2-80 Big saving on smokes You can even share these with the kids and be a hero (not a zero)

Remember it's you that is important not other people's opinions don't get stressed about letting other people know that you are having a hard time in total withdrawal tell you loved ones and friends, I'm absolutely sure that they will come in behind you with all the support you need to get through this. Just hang in there and be honest to yourself and those around you and the stress will fall away.

Harley, the first thing you don't do is beat yourself up over a quit attempt. This is my 4th and last attempt and am at day 41. You have to be in the right zone in your head, to be successful. I agree with PallMall, why are giving up? the best reason is for yourself and your health. This is a good forum for support in your quit journey. I know you'll eventually quit so have faith in yourself and stay strong!!
