- Hi I am back.
Hi I am back.

Hello everybody, I gave up smoking at the beginning of the year and took it back up after 2 months, i have jumped back on the wagon and am now on day 3 of my, on what feels like, my 100th attempt. I am using patches and i have had 6 smokes during these last few days and intend to cut them right out by the time a week has passed from my first day of giving up. I found this website really helpful during my previouse attempt but avoided it when i went back to smoking I felt too guilty knowing everybody here was doing such a good job and i was back to coughing my lungs up and wheezing.

Hi Vanessa Mae, no one here sits in judgement as we all know how hard this addiction is to beat. Welcome back !!!!!!!!

Don't beat yourself up Vanessa Mae!! So you had a stumble, the thing is your back on the wagon and have a plan to continue. Don't they say most people have several attempts before they succeed, I know I have!! Keep coming back here for support, we're all on the same journey here!!

Hi Maybethistime. As I said to Vanessa Mae, don't beat yourself up!! I think that it only puts more pressure on you than you need. 2 weeks!! you should be proud of yourself :0)
There have been times when I have been more than tempted, but am lucky the people around me don't smoke and I drum it into my head "I can't just have one" or I'll be back to where I was 45 days ago. So be kind to yourself, I know that you can do it!!

My hardest time is after work, when hubbie gets home, he sparks up and relaxes with a beer. Thats what im finding my trickiest time of day! i seem to be going okay during the day! One of my work mates walked into the room today after having a ciggie and I love her! but She stunk! of ciggie and Id never noticed it before! Funny That!
