schedule 28 May 2012

Hi all, well I've cheated on day four so it's back to the drawing board. It's really disheartening to change my quit date back to zero....even day 4 looked impressive to me. Anyway, my plan this to e is to get right back to it to morrow, rather than seeing this as a failure and keeping smoking. I've poured wate Ron the rest of the pack of smokes, and I've bought some inhalers to try to help me with my major weakness....chats on the phone. Here we go again . I'm not giving up on myself this time, I'm giving up on my filthy habit!

Don't beat yourself up Mumstheword, this is not my first attempt to give up but will be my last. At day 42 as a non-smoker the longest I had gone before was a day and a half so 4 days was a great achievement!!!I used lozenges at the beginning and apart from a couple of days have not used them for weeks.

It's the habits that come along with the smoking that I also had to break eg: I had trouble with my hands for about 2 weeks so I used a pen in place of a ciggie and it help heaps. I know you can do it, it's just finding the right formula for you!!

Its great to read that you are still commited to quitting. Keep going you will beat this addiction.

The fact that you poured water on what was left of the cigs is positive. Good luck from now on.

Feel proud of every day that you are smoke free and keep saying to yourself "I can do it"

I did it after over 50 years of smoking and know it takes more than patches or pills. It takes willpower.
