The Beginning

OK. So tomorrow is my quit day, and I am approaching this date with trepidation. All the negative talk comes in - I can't do it. Tried before. Failed. I really have to turn my head around. It will be hard. But I have been reading the posts, and I am really encouraged by what others have said.

Hi netti, I'd tried in excess of 50 times over the past 15 years. Don't let that stop you from trying again.
I'm only up to day 10 and already feel better and have a small money savings also !
Good luck, keep strong and give it your best.

Hi Netti, this is my fourth attempt. The longest that I have gone without a ciggy before this was a day and a half. I now am on day 12 and I think the difference this time is that I was ready in my mind to quit.

Will be thinking of you netti, all the best. Oh! and yeah soak up all the info and tips from this site because it helps. We're all in a very similar boat, just got to plug those damm leaks......

Hi netti. When I decided to quit I felt the same. I did not tell anyone as I was afraid I might fail but when I finally did it I felt happy and became more determined to stay quit.
All the best for you.

Hi netti, I have to say the same that Gerry1 wrote, I too felt scared and worried for failing. I have had a few private moments with myself where I could actually say I was proud of myself. I never shared those thoughts, but in hindsight I should have.
