trying again

Hi there I am trying for the first time to give up. I am a social smoker mostly but when socialising is every other night it adds up. I read Allen Carr's book and got to day 12 ... that was about 6 weeks ago. I have since kept on trying but give in from 5 - 8 days in ...generally when I am having a drink. I've attempted again using this site and this is my 2nd day ... Have decided I will have to give up a drinking for a bit to get this sorted. I felt fantastic those first 12 days and am very frustrated with myself when I give up knowing I felt so good. I don't even understand why I do it as I just don't like it anymore. But I figure I will just keep on trying ... I suppose there isn't just one way to give up. Your stories are inspiring me though ... so I hope it goes well.

Keep it up Jas, we've all tried many times, you only loose out when you Stop trying, but ur on ur way so don't stop now!

Hi Jas, You stick to it girl, you can do it. Just think of the rewards at the end of the week the money you can put towards a new hobbie. The main thing that I keep on is I HAVE CONTROL cigarettes no longer control me. Keep thinking you have control Jas, and you will get through it. You can do girl. And your right this site does and will help, its helping me. Take it easy and start enjoying a fresh life

Hey there Jas,
Just remember --It took a long time for us all to learn to become a smoker--NOW We are all learning to be non smokers. we are now teaching ourselves the opposite of what we have been for so long, Of course it plays with our heads. Its a huge mindgame, but at the end of the day-Its about "YOU", You have control over this, Stay focused, stay strong and stay in control of whether your going to smoke.Just dont have one, The minute you have a little puff your back to where you were before you started, Its one huge mindgame and at times you think your gonna crack,But sit tight and ride those cravings out and you'll be fine..
Good luck xoxoxoxox

Hi Jas as the saying goes if at first u dont suceed try, try again. As Gam said it is a big mind game its been 14 weeks since my last smoke and i still get the odd craving where i think i would love just a drag of a smoke !!!
