Getting nervous.........

Oh gosh!! 9 days until my quit day!! I have been SO excited since I decided to make my date but today was the first time that I went "uh oh, can I do this, yes you can, but what if you get to mad? What if you take it out on Grace (my daughter)? What if you gain a tonne of weight? WHAT IF WHAT IF WHAT IF!!!
Far out!! NINE BLOODY DAYS!!!! Im kinda excited again!!
Shit, now Im nervous!!
Oh crap!!
I can do it! I can do it! I can do it!
I want to do it! I can do it & I WILL do it!!!
Yep!! I can do it

Hey Jodie,
Of course you can do this, Everyone on this site had those same thought before we gave up smoking.
Just arm yourself with the resources you need and keep busy, You'll be fine.
Your not depriving yourself of anything, Your gonna be healthier, Live longer, have more money , smell nicer, and have really nice clean teeth ( I love my clean teeth).
So there's a whole lot more to look forward to and nothing to loose....
Good luck!

Jodie, I felt the same. You have to make sure you do not have any cigs in the house on your quit date. I found that while I had access to smokes I was not quitting - just kidding myself, so I gave the remainder of packs away and it is now 12 days since I quit (& saved about $200), feel much fitter & as Gam suggested am looking forward to getting the white teeth back. All the best with your willpower which is the main item required. Meds help but not without the will.

Hi Jodie, my quit date was set for tomorrow however as my packet of cigarettes ran out this morning and I was excited about getting started I have started today, not by choice and almost immediately I found myself if a high risk zone at the pub for lunch and have managed to stay strong, in a crazy way I feel like I am already one up on my journey/challenge as if I have the control to forfeit the last day I was mentally allowing myself to smoke I can do this for real this time. All the best for your journey – we are all in it together
