Hi Everyone,

Well Today is the Day, Quit Day.  I was so looking forward to it yesterday, but not really feeling the same today!  I had my last smoke at 9.00pm last nite.  I have planned that today and the weekend are very busy with lot's of running around to do, so hopefully this helps to keep my mind busy and I won't have time to think about a smoke.  I have made a promise to myself, that when the craving gets to much and I want to drive down the shop to buy a packet of smokes, I will instead sign onto this forum and read all your wonderful stories for inspiration to keep on going.

Remembering today all our Soldiers who have and will continue to serve our Country! Lest we forget!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Go Roseyk and good luck. You will do it. I would also recommend having a big bottle of water handy for when the craving hits. And think of things that make you not want a smoke and do that. It will be weird but you can do it. Tiger on here used to have showers, I would go and brush my teeth. Weird but effective, I mean who would want a smoke with a flouride mouth or after being all clean and fresh from a shower?

Also maybe plan to have early nights at the weekend. I did that a LOT. Well I want smoke it's driving me nut might as well go and lay in bed and read a book. So what if it's 5.30pm!

Good luck and stay strong and let us know how you are going.

Well done. I did a lot of walking that first week. When i would usually go outside for a smoke i would go for a walk and breathe the fresh air to open up my lungs and it felt great. I also constantly logged onto this site for inspiration. You have got through the biggest hurdle making the decision and actually stopping the smoking.

One comment that helped me get through was someone on his site said every craving you get is another sign that the nicotine is leaving your body. KEEP US POSTED
