Quit support for clients
Health professionals play a critical role in helping people to quit smoking. Whether it’s guidance, information or even some encouraging words during difficult times, quit support can make a big difference to your clients.
iCanQuit
The iCanQuit website is a great place for your clients to start.
They’ll find useful information, practical tools and a supportive community of people who’ve been through the same thing they’re going through.
Resources for your client include:
- My Quit Plan: this online tool shows how much money will be saved by quitting, sets up a quit date and tracks progress.
- Information: answers to common questions such as what to expect when you choose to stop smoking or vaping, and how to learn from previous quit attempts.
- iCanQuit community: Stories and experiences and learn from people who’ve successfully stopped smoking and vaping or are in the process of stopping.
- Quit Kit: contains helpful information for clients about quitting smoking, available in different languages.
