Reaching for Air

Posted in Hints and tips 01 Feb 2012

Day 16. Particularly stressful day at work. Driving home my hand actually reached across to where I used to keep my pack of cigarettes, not once, but twice. Just split second moments of forgetfulness. For those 2 split seconds I really did feel like a cigarette. But 2 split seconds is nothing in the context of the next 50 years. So I drove on, with temptation happily excised from my mind.

    Well done MickeyJ,
Day 16 wahoooo. You'll be at the one month before you know it.
I have some elastic bands hanging on my blinker in my car, Cos my hands get restless, so I just play with the rubber band to keep my hands happy while Im driving, Cos after all those years of driving and smoking it's really weird " just driving".
So well done and stay strong :)

Thanks Gam, good tip. I'll nick some elastic bands from the stationery cupboard for my drive home this afternoon.
