Day 2 (yet again)

Posted in Reasons to quit 28 Jul 2016

This is the last time that I quit.

I had a hysterectomy yesterday to remove stage one cancer. Oh lucky lucky me, that it is only stage one and has been removed from my body, with no further treatment required.

One of the precursors for this cancer is not having had children, another one is - I don't need to say.

So yesterday was the first day of the rest of my life. I have so much to live for.

Can't drive for three weeks and cannot walk too far for a while, so wlill HAVE to suck it up and quit. Then going on holidays with my love for 10 days (he hates smoking).

In the meantime, posting daily on this site will keep my resolve and reinforce several more reasons to quit.

Wee Willem, just take it hour by hour and day by day, that is what I am doing and it does help, like you I really rely on these posts, although our Internet here is so unreliable sometimes it's days between when I can get on. I pace lots and am going to get a fit bit soon, oh and I cry heaps too, am sure everyone around here thinks I'm nuts but I am continuing with my quest. Good luck and can't wait to read more of your posts .
