Day 19

Posted in Staying quit 03 Jul 2016

Thank goodness for bicycling! Yesterday morning I hopped on my bike and rode to the river, participated in a outdoor community Yoga class. That would have been something I only dreamed of doing as a smoker. Each time I felt nervous or craved a cigarette, I hopped on my bike and rode around until it passed...seemed as though "everyone" was smoking, laughing, and healthy. Cigarettes smelled great! Nonetheless, both my husband and I are Day 19 nicotine free, going strong and feeling quite proud of ourselves!

Day 19, that's fantastic and fitness is a great distraction. Outdoor yoga sounds fabulous.

Happy Independence Day! Day Twenty for me. It is the middle of the night and I am dealing with insomnia. I will be so happy when my body adjust to no nicotine and things go back to "normal".. Whatever that is. I still am getting urges to smoke, but they pass and I deal with them....boredom seems to be a big "trigger" for me. I am glad I have my music and this web page!

Hey Jolynn, well done on getting to day 20. What an amazing accomplishment, you must be very proud of yourself. I used boredom as a trigger to smoke but I forgot about being bored. I'm on day, errr.... actually not sure... just over six weeks anyway and the urge is just not there. I have moments of forgetting that I don't smoke, all happens in a split second and then I laugh at myself for being such an idiot. Music is also a great healer.

Yeh, Day 21! Was up late cooking, preparing for visit from kids and grandkids....when was the last time I peeled, pared, baked, cooked without smoking? I can't remember. Lots of family today...yikes!

26 (or 28) days nicotine free! I absolutely can not believe it! I really struggle wanting that first cigarette of the day...hate rolling out of bed to exercise or eat...haven't really figured out this difficult time, but not smoking

I want a cigarette..."just one"...ha! Don't know why I just ordered over-priced clothes online.....guess I ran out of Oreo cookies.....OK, I am going to do more sit-ups , try a guided meditation on UTUBE...will be so glad when I adjust to living without cigarettes. I don't get it, I am happier, healthier, and would give my eye teeth for "just one",...ugh! Oh well, provided I don't smoke, I will never have to go thru this again!
