Letting my old teddy bear go

Posted in Quit experiences 23 Jun 2016

Its possible to be deceived about our nicotine addiction for years and even decades. In my case I've been deceived by the Nicodemon for more than 3 decades. In the same way, I've been deceived about people in my life.

In someone's business there was a guy stealing from the owner for years and the owner never saw it. At one point (the owner) thought he was not trusting the guy enough so he kept on rewarding him and increasing his trust in him, just like I increased the amount of cigarettes I smoked over the years. You see, the smoking is not working anymore so what do we do? We smoke even more! We trust more!! This is something that is not good and I needed to learn about myself! Sometimes we need to let go of that old teddy bear!

Thanks to the increase in the tax on cigarettes, so many of us have had enough and realise not only our health may decline, but there may no be enough money in the bank to help support a diminished lifestyle. Health, wealth and social isolation have all come along to slap us into reality. I feel sorry for those who as yet are in denial and do not see what is happening...

All smokers have been duped by the addiction to nicotine and have become very much a slave to nicotine, we had done many a thing to keep the habit pleased with us, but now the tables have turned, but the big rewards are by not having the nicotine is a......better healthier life...more $$$$ in our pockets, things not smelling of smoke.....
Its not an easy habit to overcome but we are all giving it our best shot with achieving results.
