wow!!!

I haven't been here for a while and was excited to see I have been a non smoker for 135 days. I can't believe I have lasted this long.....feeling good!!

G'day Alleycat, that's awesome, well done, you should be very proud! When we first quit, a month or more seems so far away as we struggle in the early stages...but alas, we get there. I am only at 23 days smoke free, yet it only feels like yesterday when i was at day 10. It sure does feel great, in so many ways. Cheers :D

Thanks everyone. If you really want to give up smoking you will. This is my 2nd attempt but this time it's been a lot easier for me as I was in the right frame of mind. Hang in there peeples....you CAN do it!!!

Alleycat, what a great achievement, its great when you can even suprise yourself..
Very major hi 5s to you, you have done soooooo great, one day just peels away and a new day starts.
Today is 265 days for me or 36 weeks, now the days just blend one after another...
Just keep at it.

That is awesome and inspirational. I have 42 days so far and I am really thankful and glad to be on this site with other folks changing their lives for the better. Congrats to you!

135 days WOW GREAT JOB!!!!!! But I have to ask, at 135 do you still want one?

Hi Joenewbie, I have to be honest and say that every now again the though crosses my mind, but not very often at all. The reason for nearly wanting one is that I suffer daily from chronic pain and have had surgery which I'm still recovering from but other than that I have been really lucky this 2nd time around and I think I was in the right head space to give up. Good luck on your journey!

The journey hasn't started for me yet but I hope to be on the same path as the rest of you non smokers come July. I have made the first step in setting my quit date and really hope to quit this time. Any tips anyone can give me would be much appreciated.

I just can't stop smoking , even though i hate it so much. I can't imagine my life as a smoker. I hate how it taste and my smell after having a cigarette, and of course, i despise my self when i spend a lot of money on it. I tried so many time to quit, but i failed in every attempt. I think i don't have the required well for such brave and wise decision. I tried every thing, cold turkey method , nicotine gum, patches, .. etc. but non of these stopped me from my foolish, selfish , and reckless habit. Recently, i bought CHAMPIX , although it coast me a lot of money , but i think it'll help me quit. I read a lot about it and i hope it help me quit. But, i just don't feel a big difference! i still have an urge to smoke. It's been 6 days since i started this medication and still smoke once and a while - as instructed in CHAMPIX, in the 1st to 2nd week , you can smoke while taking the medication - . That's my story, and this's my struggle, so far. I lost so many battles against smoking but i hope to win the war.

Hello all....very glad to join this group.....i have been smoke free for 37days.....still struggling to keep up.....but feels great...
