You sure can, keep the faith, drink heaps of water, exercise and keep busy, watch your health improve, the smell leave your life, and keep reading the blogs.

Hello everyone. I have been smoking for over 40years. I need to stop for my health. I need lots of encouragement. I haven't set a date yet & I've had 1 cigarette today. I get a bit panicky when I think about quitting. I want to do this. Please tell me how you got over your first hurdle.

First day today and it has helped that I was sick. I didn't go to work and spent the day between being ill and doing house work. Tomorrow is a new day and I threw out ashtrays and lighters and anything that makes me think about smoking

Here I am again on day one. I have to give up some time, so preferably not just before getting into a box. I've quit before, and it hasn't been that challenging-just take one day at a time, and count off the days, then the weeks, then the months-I've not got to count off the years-hopefully one year from today 😊

I must quit due to health problems caused by cigarretes. It will be the biggest pay rise I've ever been given nd I can give it to myself. Good luck everyone

    Day 1.
It has only been a couple of hours and it is all I think about, I get excited because I think 'oh I'll go have a smoke'... then I remember.
Wow this is going to be harder than I though!
For once in my life I am being selfish and doing this FOR ME, not my kids or the money, just me and to be rid of the smell and the hold it has over my life and my actions. They say know your triggers and avoid them but jow do you do that when EVERYTHING is a trigger? I am 30 years old and have smoked since I was around 14..... 14, what was I thinking!
On the up side I feel hopeful that I can do this, even though my chest feels heavy and I feel like I may experience my 1st panic attack.
