Hi Jess, 42 days smoke free for me and still on champix, Champix has really helped me, I tryed champix once before and had bad side effects and now looking back on that attempt i think i smoked for 2 long while on champix. about 12 days. So this time i gave up after 8 days on champix, and made sure i have something to eat before taking tablet. Had no side effects this time at all.
Everything gets easyer each day, trust me, the only thing i still hav trouble with is when i have a drink so still working on that one!!! Anyway jess good luck and you can do it. I loved a smoke so if i can do it, you can!! Cherrs Rusty

How is everyone going on Champix? I am on day 3 and a little nervous after reading about side effects etc. having suffered depression and anxiety in the past, I am concerned about how it may effect me.

Heathers tip of milt with the tablet is one I will be taking note of, thanks.

Any other tips would be appreciated.

If you have a glass of milk with the champix it helps with the nausea.

rusty you should not cut back on the champix take the correct amount they will not be effective. if you are worried about anything see your doctor.

Hi Rusty, congrats on ur first day! Like Roseyk, i am on champix and they make me extremely nauseous, especially in the morning. i have been smoke free for 39 days and I definately do not want to stop the champix so I am only taking the night time dose. This is working for me! good luck and stay strong!

Hi Rusty, well done on getting thru your first day. I am on week 12 of champix and have been smoke free for almost 10 weeks now. Champix definitley did it for me. I did have side effects from them like the nausea and I havn't been able to sleep very well since I've been on them, but I figure I would rather put up with the side effects for 3 months if it means I will never smoke again. I also started hitting the gym and have changed my whole focus from smoking to keeping fit and watching what I eat. Good luck with your quit journey and keep us posted on how your going:)
