The smoking war is strong with this one

I am a perfectionist at heart, a clean freak and part time stress head. It is times like these when the dark side smoking war is strong with this Padawan. Since quitting 26 days ago the lure of smoking has caught me out a couple of times when at work. stress and environmental factors the number one enemy to my lack of will power force. It is a small hiccup in a determined fight to use the force of being a non smoker for myself and my daughter who is on my case and the healthy force of unconditional love for dad. The community and inspiration on this site is a great thing to take stock and keep on going with the struggle of smoking wars!

Keep at it - stay quit for just 7 more days and the worst is over - it is just the last kicks of the dying addiction trying to lure you back - week four is hard, but week 5 was so easy for me, so it does get better if you can just make it through the last week..
Imagine starting again, and doing those first few weeks all over.. that is way harder than resisting for a few more days, and getting the urge to smoke out of your system..

You have done so well to get 26 days in, just keep at it.. be determined, and stay quit..

    Good luck..

I have realised the craving are not as strong as each day passes or as long..so hour by hour turns into day by day.....just keep saying no to that silly voice and don't give in...full stop......

Starting again is difficult, I agree. What a waste. I quit for eight weeks when I was younger, then three weeks. Smoking can be a mind game. It is also a power play. It is important that you remain the adult in your relationship with your daughter. She will want the best outcome for you. My daughter wants to be the powerful one. That is okay. It is good for her self esteem.
