Its now day two of my journey to become a non-smoker.

Yesterday was a very good day for me to start, i can recall only 3 cravings, two whilst i was at work and the other last night after dinner. BUT i didnt smoke. I had the help of my nicabate minis at work but i didnt want to rely on them while i was at home. I took a deep breath, read some facts about the benefits of not smoking and the craving went away. It lasted a bit longer than normal but i resisted and beat the craving :)

I was a bit disappointed in my friend though, he wanted to go to my friends place (who smoke in the house) and i didnt wanna go cause it would tempt me to smoke, and it seemed like he didnt support me that much because he was like "you know u want to..." and yeah. But i said no and reframed from smoking.

I woke up feeling really good about today and i hope that i can increase my willpower even more and get that one step closer to becoming a non-smoker :)

Thanks for all your support :)

Congrats on taking the first step Rhys. I am in day 20 and I never thought I'd make it. I had to isolate myself from the world for the first 2 weeks (and eat the contents of my house!) and then...Woohoo! breakthrough. This site is fantastic and keeping up with reading everyones daily progress which i found to be crucial for me to get through the tough times, even if you cannot contribute. Keep going, you can do it, an hour at a time if necessary!

Well Done Rhys on getting through your first day, that is awesome. Tomorrow is my quit day, it's funny, I'm actually looking forward to it. Don't know if I will feel the same way this time tomorrow though. Will see how I go. Keep going strong, I'm sure you can do it, hopefully we can do it together, and in no time we will be counting weeks and months of not smoking:)

Great start Rhys, keep at it and trust me it might not seem like it but it does get gradually easier.
Definitely keep checking in here, Winners absolutely right, we all know where you're coming from and will try to help you to get where you're going.

Go Rhys - Congratulations on Day 1. It's not easy and it will not get easier for a while, so my advice is to buckle up for the ride. It can be done and you can do it. And plenty of people here will support you. Just focus on one day at a time. One hour at a time if you have too.

As for friends, if you are not getting support from them, for a little while you may just have to stay at home - it will be worth it.

Again congratulations, the first day is a MASSIVE first step. You may find it helpful to go back and read people's posts on here, it makes you realise you are not alone in what you are going through or may go through in the coming weeks.

Welcome to the road of becoming a non smoker :)
