Can't believe I've quit yeah

Posted in Quit experiences 31 Aug 2014

It's day 3 today of not smoking. My quit day was Sunday. But I stopped smoking on Friday.  Yeah. Champix is working it's day 14 on them. I have no cravings at all. Had a few drinks last night didn't smoke. Wow I thought that's gonna be the hardest. I used all my willpower. My partner was smoking right in front of me too amazing. I was a pack a day chain smoker. I honestly was.  I really do not want too smoke. It takes all my money. I'm ashamed to tell you this I've taken things to cash converters just to buy smokes in the past. How terrible what a waste of money.

Dear Kathy and Baeu7, after you finish your course of Champix it is very unlikely that you will crave a smoke. I have successfully quit on Champix and was smoke free for over a year. I didnt crave a smoke, I just put one in my mouth and lit it one day because I was dumb enough to think I could and get away with it. Post Champix you just need to keep reminding yourself that not smoking remains a decision and that every day you are smoke free is because you choose not to smoke. I am back on Champix again and have had almost two weeks with the monkey off my back. This time I wont be so dumb as to think I can have just one and get away with it.
