Quit tomorrow

Posted in Getting started 06 Jan 2014

Hi, everyone, my quit day is tomorrow which I have mixed feelings about. I am looking forward to be rid of this filthy habit but at the same time I feel like I'm loosing something the company of a smoke I fun, social, sad, emotional times. It kind of feels like a grieving process but not that deep. So I am half looking forward to tomorrow coz I don't know how I will go, just try my hardest one minute, hour day at a time. I know the support here is half the battle and without being on here I don't think I would have tried again. So good luck to you all, we can do this. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hey Humble..
You can do this, Just dont smoke for today.. ( and then do this again tomorrow and the next day etc etc ).. Just keep really busy, if u feel like a smoke, distract yourself for 5 minutes, play a game on your phone or something.. Set your mind to it and you'll find you can do this..
    one day at a time..
Good luck and keep posting your progress

Hi Humble, glad to see you are here. I think we have been together on most of our attempts! I too am back and currently on day 7. I know how your feeling and have been there. Try thinking of not losing something but gaining BACK your life. The smokes are NOT our friends (even though we think they are), the smokes do not relieve stress ( even though we think they do), the smokes are not good company ( even though we think they are). The smokes are nothing but an expensive, disgusting, powerful addiction that we don't need and don't want!!
We are here with you and for you. You CAN do it Humble I believe in you. Stat strong we will do it together!! X

    Hi Humble,
I am feeling very grief-stricken today (day 17), so I understand your thoughts.
Nic succeed - thank you for the reminder - smokes ARE an expensive, disgusting addiction and I will make this my mantra.
Feeling as if I will get through today after all! Good luck and thank you everyone.
