Bury your smokes

Posted in Hints and tips 05 Dec 2013

Okay here is one I read somewhere. Often you will only be tempted to smoke when you have that packet right there when you can access it. And if you run out then you think... I'll just buy a pack and only have a few. Doesn't work.

Try wrapping your smoke packet up in something annoying like cellophane or clingwrap. Then wrap sticky tape all around it. Put in in a bag and bury it. That's right bury your smokes, and not in a little shallow hole. Make a nice big hole. Putting a plant on it is even more motivation, because if you give in to the cravings and think... I'll just go dig up my pack. By the time you have dug it up, and removed any poor plant you put there, then unwrapped it, the craving may well have passed! You can also hold a mini faux funeral for your habit.
