I didn't slip up

Posted in Hints and tips 01 Dec 2013

I realized looking at the calendar on Thursday ( your Friday) that my quit day was going to show incorrectly. I am behind your time so it looked like I started the day before. Not a big deal but it is easier to track using your time because it s a truer stat. I am not sure if that is fixable. Anyway ... I have had some urges and a very stressful few days. I am so proud of me :-) I can honestly say I have not enjoyed my smokes for the last few weeks and that shocked me! So I am grabbing that and running with it! Stopped Nov.25 5 pm. No one around who can divert me and that helps so much.I hope you all are hanging in there and I will be checking in again soon.

I know exactly what you are going through. Today is day 17 for me with no smokes and finally it is beginning to feel natural, but the first two weeks were all over the place. Some days I felt invincible and others I felt vulnerable. I managed to resist the urge to smoke and every time I did I grew stronger. Your doing well. Stay strong and push through. Keep reminding yourself why you are doing this to yourself. I t will be worth it for you and everyone you have to live for. Well done!
