It's your choice and its my one month quit

Posted in Hints and tips 28 Nov 2013

One month!!! I'm so so proud and you know what is strange I told one person, like one person seriously I thought I would want to tell everyone that I've reached one month, scream it so loud so that the whole world would know! But I haven't really thought about it. Smoking, cigarettes don't enter my mind much these days. It's been 5 whole days with out the patch and from my research it says nicotine is out of your system by day 5 I'm not sure if this is true but I don't feel any strong urges to smoke at all now. It's strange as soon as that patch was off those cravings stopped almost immediately. It's like a quick, less then a second thought "I want a smoke, a puff" but its gone quicker then me blinking... If I can do it anyone can! I was a 30+ a day smoker... You have to want to quit, choose not to have that cigarette. It's your choice nobody else's...

Hi Well done on a month , and yes you are bang craving for a smoke becomes a fleeting thought at most eventually. Isn't amazing what you can you do when you put your mind to it. I love that last line of your post, 'you have to want to quit, choose not to have a cigarette, its you choice nobody else'.... that's a powerful statement, and hits the nail on the head. That is empowering when you realize you control it. Well done ...
