Coffee Break

Posted in Hints and tips 25 Nov 2013

Do not go near the spot you usually smoke when having a coffee. Drink your coffee in an area where smoking is not allowed. There will be other people to socialize with ... not so much in smoking areas.

Hi Ricky , it is easy to put some space between you and smokers for a while... no point ma,king it harder on yourself . Keep posting here, and well done on deciding to quit.

    Hey there converse!
It sure has changed a lot in the past few years ... more not smoking than there are smokers. Not much socializing just quick puffing!! Not as relaxing anymore. Yeah quitting is a must. It's not worth it anymore :-) I just hope I will listen to me too ... lol

Ricky if you can quit and stay quit you will soon realise that smoking is not relaxing at all, it is a time wasting habit. Instead of saying I hope I will listen to myself, turn it around and say I AM going to listen and quit for good. All the best!

You are so righ Nic! Thanks :-)

Today being day one ... every time I got the urge ... I just kept telling myself how much better I will feel. The last little while I felt crappy/guilty with each smoke. I know it makes my clothes and hair stink. Which I have had to work at trying hard not to get stinky ... so I just smell my hair now to remind me. Oh and a mint for each urge!
