Hi all, I am determined to quit this time for health reasons. I have been smoking for 20 years! I normally have only around 1-2 a day but when I drink I chain smoke and I feel like crap the next day. And I drink quite a bit. I'm here for support while I go cold turkey and to ask for tips on not smoking while embibing. I'm hoping by quitting I will cut down on the alcohol as well!

probably is good to stop or reduce drinking not just to help stop smoking but when almost every one does stop smoking, you can guess what the goody goodies and the government are gonna tax the heck out of next! Then fast food for the same reasons as ciggy's. Its starting all ready!

Hi..drinking is a real problem when trying to quit smoking. I was a heavy drinker but decided that if I was gonna quit smoking I had to quit the drink first. I stopped drinking 4 weeks before I even attempted to stop smoking..its not been easy to quit both but it has made a huge difference to my life already. Im 8 weeks off the drink and day 15 now without a smoke. I can breath like I havent done for years and feel so much healthier already. Trust me ditch the booze..giving up smoking is hard at the best of times but drinking is just gonna make it a whole lot harder on yourself...good luck.
