Day by day

Day 42. Not going to lie...I'd love a cigarette...I think about them daily... especially at work. My lungs could blow up a hot air balloon n my physical fitness is great..but a smoke...just one...but then I think of the reason I put out my last smoke 42 days ago..I want to live longer n not die of a smoke related illness ..and there's no way Im going to let myself ever need an oxygen tank to breathe for me..I love life..smokes are death.

Good on you Slk for putting your life, well-being and health above cigarettes. 42 days is a huge achievement. I know how bloidy hard it is as im on day 200. I have a 2 year old daughter that I had by myself so I feel a massive responsibility to live to care for her. I have saved $3800 so far from not smoking and the thousands of cigarettes I didn't inhale. Thanks for reaching out as I do enjoy reading how others are going.

    Hi Slk,
Most of the time I'm fine not smoking.
Its just those bloody triggers that are Christmas night, new years eve, going out with out my baby once every 8 weeks on a Saturday night or when my partner goes away. I have had a couple of slip ups but I'm so glad that I didn't start again. I want to Write a list of the reason I have stopped to put on my fridge but my stepchildren don't know that there father and I had been smoking for years. I may have to put some pictures of my daughter and I on lots of walls to remind me that I'm doing it for her.
