Day 1 and it is scary

Today is day 2 of no smoking, I have been smoking since I was 17! Grew up with both heavy smoker parents! A couple of days ago my daughter asked me if I wanna die early! Is that why I smoke so much! And it hit me! I have been smoking for 13 years and I am not even 31 yet! So I threw away everything and hopefully gonna stick to the plan and not pass on this bad habit to my kids like it was passed on to me!

Welcome to this community Hanine1991. Congratulations on day 2!!! Good going!

What your daughter said seems pretty powerful. Kinda an eye opener. I'm glad that shook you up a bit because it's about time you address this nicotine addiction. Your daughter is right,.. it takes YEARS of life away.

Stick you "the plan" and you will succeed. Stay positive and take it one hour, one day at a time. You can do this not only for your daughter, but mostly for YOURSELF!!! You got this!

Please stay with us and believe that you can quit smoking. Life after smoking is wonderful. It is the fear of the unkown that prevents us from taking action to change. Have you ever heard of anyone wishing that they had never quit? Or anyone wishing that they smoked? How many have wished we never started? How many wish they could stop?

Wishing won't accomplish anything. Belief and taking action in a positive way are key. Keep your reason(S) for this change close to your heart to spur you on. You and your loved ones are definitely worth it. Freedom is yours for the taking!

Thank you! I am definitely feeling better as the days go! Luckily I don’t feel the withdrawals as bad as I thought! Not irritated or anxious and sleeping pretty well. It is still day 3 but hoping once I hit the two weeks mark I can keep going! Thanks for all the support! 😍😍
