Hi chellie I would suggest you call the quit line on 137848 and have a chat with them and I would also just check in with your doctor just to make sure there is nothing else going on. Let us know how you get on ❤️

I am told it does get better. I'm on week 8 and it does continue to get better. I think it's a gradual thing. Hang in there and stay close to this site.

Umm,.. I'm kinda thinking what Jessfreeof said. Maybe it's something else? Your symptoms seem a bit drastic. On the other hand, day nine is pretty far in from day one, but it is still the "beginning". I hope everything gets better little by little. Yes, check in with us and let us know how you are doing. .... Best....

I’m going into my 2nd year. Yes, you do get grumpy, snappy and want yo throw in the towel. Please understand it’s the drug trying to convince you to have a smoke. Don’t give into your own thoughts. Rise above, be aware of your emotions and let others know you’re not feeling the best. Take a walk, burn off negative energy and know your stronger than that drug. You made it. Remember that should it occur again. You are stronger than nicotine and you can replace those dopamine jolts that you miss with that puff. Do something to make yourself feel good. A treat , a happy thought or a helping hand , a game or song or a piece of dark chocolate are little happy bursts. Eat well and keep the serotonin high. We accomplish more and things are more easily done when we are in a positive place.
