When I feel like a cigarette to do my paint by numbers has been helpful. Even though I haven't had a day without smoking I have cut down. I also read a suggestion to use 2 patches so I'm going to give that a go. My reasoning for quiting is having emphysema. You would think that's enough motivation however it's not. I will continue to not give up my desire to be a non smoker.again. A day at a time a craving at a time

Hi Koda&keisha. My opinion is the fact that you are smoking less is a turn in the right direction. My last quit (this quit), I basically cut down for 3 weeks prior and I think that helped me. We all have to do what works for ourselves and no one else. You have a great attitude for sure and I do not doubt for a moment that you will some day quit for good. Yes, an hour at a time, a day at a time. Make the time without a cigarette stretch longer and longer. You'll do it. Keep being positive like you are doing, you'll get there. Best....

Make the cigarettes that you do smoke unenjoyable. Taste, smell and see them in a different light. They are a medication to ease the discomfort of withdrawal that nicotine itself causes. You can feed it or cut it off.
When I cut down drastically, I like all people started watching the clock, counting the minutes until I could indulge in a smoke. That was the hardest part of my quit and I said enough and just moved up the quit date rather than suffer. Cold turkey was much easier and shorter.
So cut down naturally, take your medication in private and wish that you could get off of it, just like any other medication.

Change your perspective and change your life.

Wishing of course will not help you to quit smoking.
Perhaps more aptly put, is to envision yourself being a non-smoker. How much better you will look, feel and have money to do things that you may have only dreamed of. How proud will you be? Self confidence is vastly restored and the freedom is awesome. Desire freedom and believe you can obtain this dream. We did.

Everything you do to help yourself give up is not wasted. Just never give up on giving up and you will crack it 😊🙌🌅
