Day 4 Cold Turkey

Good morning all. So I have made it to day 4 cold turkey 😊 I know I am only early stages into my quit but I feel this is going to be my final one. It has not been an easy few days but I can already start to feel the health benifets from quitting.

I have found exercising each day and avoiding sugary foods has helped lift my mood. Looking forward to reaching the 1 week milestone.

    Ahhh,.. hello again Hol2021 !!! Good to hear from you and congratulations on DAY 4 ! You are doing soooo good!!! Day 4 is a huge accomplishment seriously!

    It wasn't that long ago that I went through the first week. It's not going to kill you to go through some uncomfortable moments. Like you will read about many times in this forum, they are only thoughts and the thoughts only last for a short period and the end result will be with many rewards.

    You are really impressing me! Exercising, eating right!! I think you are very prepared and will make this your last quit!!! Stick with your plan. You are doing awesome! One hour at a time, one day at a time and stay as positive as you are. Good job!!

    keep up the great attitude and doing what you are doing. It seems to work for you.

    Should temptation arise people, perhaps you should sign this........

    Quitting smoking is a choice, just as giving up and lighting up are choices. We can't stop you. Which do you CHOOSE?

    Thank you so much everyone. If I can do this I know anyone can 👍 Reading everyone's different quitting experiences has also helped me stay focussed and on track. Maybe some of my experiences can help someone never know 😊

    Good to hear; 4 days cold turkey.
    You are probably in, or through the worst of the nicotine withdrawal.
    About this time, your brain is on empty and screaming, but you can accept the discomfort, just as you would a bad cold. What's left, is breaking the addiction to smoking, and that will last only as long as you let it. Make up your mind, you simply do not want to smoke any more. Know the discomfort will pass, and just ride it out. Make this your successful QUIT :)
