Hi Everyone

Hope your all having a lovely smoke free evening.

I myself am now 16 days smoke free.

I feel good most of the time every now and again there's a little niggle but I can control that now much better now and even though I work in a supermarket and I walk past them ciggerates every single day I have no intentions of buying a packet..

It doesn't bother me that they are right there.

I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks with my partner in a few days

Really excited about it as a non smoker aswell

But there is something bothering my and I no what it is

It's the not knowing how I am going to handle some situations like driving a long time and then not having a smoke. How will I cope having a nice meal and not having a smoke.

I do have a 0 nicotine vape that I have been using just on bad cravings like 3 time a week I use it.

I think I will bring my vape with me and if I get bad urges I will use it.

What motivated me more was the thought of when on holiday I can use my vape right before I walk in to a shop and not stink of stale tobacco..

Going to a restaurant and knowing I no longer smell horrible.

Thanks for listening 🎊🎊🚭🚭💃

Happiness yea the vape is defiantly 0 nicotine I think there's sometimes no point on still giving the body nicotine when your trying to quit nicotine.
I am going to bring my needles and wool and do some knitting also on holiday and bring my Allen carr smoking book to read aswell..
I'm hoping with being in a different place and sourrdings I should not be phased on smoking as I will be doing lots of fun things on holiday.
Thank you and I am very excited to go away for the 1st time since I wasn't well last year.

As long as the vape has ZERO nicotine, and only used on occasion, it can be viewed as a quit smoking aid. Anything that contains nicotine could, and probably would, set you back to day one of the nicotine addiction. You are long past that and working on the psychological aspects of the quit once again. You seem to be doing well with it and not letting the closeness of the product tempting you. Being prepared for what you think might trigger your cravings is a smart move. Hopefully, you will be pleasantly surprised that they don't bother you as much as expected. Sunflower seeds, peanuts in the shell and pistachios might be good snacks to occupy those times should they arise. The will keep your hands busy and are very good for you although high in calories.

Have a wonderful vacation Gemma. You deserve it. You are worth it, and You can make smoking a distant memory.
