3 Years Quit

Posted in Quit experiences 23 Jun 2021

Hello my quit forum friends, how are you all? It has been a while since I have posted, but I do like to pop in and hear about every ones experiences. Many of you have been long timers like Happiness et al, who give 100% support to all the newcomers, to all those who might be struggling and also to those like myself who have been quit for a longer period. In saying that I would like to send a special hello to Happiness and the rest of those who have travelled alongside me over the years. To all those who are new to this quit forum, I would like to send a huge welcome and congratulate each and everyone one of you. This is a fantastic forum, the support is endless and the love flows to all members on this their road to recovery from nicotine addiction. When I decided it was time to quit I found much love and support right here, right where you all are. I hold a lot of gratitude to this site and its members for being there for me 24/7 during that time. And today as of yesterday I can happily say that I have been 3 years quit. 3 years!!! Had I have known how easy (minus a few weeks of some unpleasant withdrawals) I would have quit a long time time ago. But, here I am today a non-smoker. I guess we all get there in the end once we make up our minds and choose not smoking over being slaves to the nasty nicotine addiction.

To all of you, I send much love and light.

May the universe provide you with strength and support in your quit journey.

Good health to you all my fellow quitters and again congratulations!

A huge HELLO right back at ya DABS.

I think support means a lot to us in the early days. As does accountability and sense of belonging. A community who understands what we are going through.....or can relay what knowledge that they have gained. While I may not have experienced the difficulites some describe, I can sympathize and give my support, and hopefully some insight into the correct mindset that served me so well.
Our trials and tribulations are well worth the end result.....freedom, confidence and pride. Once we stop believing the lies, especially endless opinions of how hard it is to quit and accept that it can be done easily when we WANT to and BELIEVE that we can. Only the mind stands in the way.

Once we something can be done, we see that there is no reason why we cannot achieve success as well. How we do it is of our choosing. Thanks for relaying your belief that all can quit DABS.
