808 Days a non-smoker. Proud

Posted in Staying quit 03 Feb 2021

Hi all,

Just checking in. It has been 808 days. I am proud of how far I have come. I love myself for choosing to stay like this. It is an amazing feeling.

I however, will need to continue regulating my stress management. I took up hiking every week. I stay off social media and check in once a week. Although I was a social drinker, I quit drinking too because it made me look tired and old (not that anything is wrong with aging, just not pre-maturely). It has been three weeks since I had a drink. I look and feel great.

To all of us who are on our non-smoking journey I wish you good luck. It does get better, hang in there.

Some very nice round figures there Kenny. Congratulations. It is so nice to hear that members go on to be so thankful and happy that they quit. There may be some trying rough patches, but they do end and bring many rewards in the end. Looking forward to hearing from you again in 192 days!

Great news Kennie, you should feel proud. Strong and proud, fits anyone who keeps up the commitment. I took up meditation and there are many apps to help you with this, we are so lucky. Whatever the reason to think one is allowed to smoke, is just an excuse that Nicotine taught us we couldnt not cope without it, and it loves to confuse your mind with this dark message.

Love yourself in those challenging situations, it always makes you stronger in the end. Come back anytime.
